The old metal baking tins are becoming a noisy thing of the past. In any commercial baking kitchen, there'll be the 'swish-swish' of bake-in cardboard packaging silently and efficiently sliding out to market.

So Traybon came up with a patented biodegradable, disposable baking packaging that meant cakes could be transported and sold in the same tray they were baked in. Made from heat-resistant, non stick cartonboard, the new trays were great for portioning because they could be opened for slicing and then re-closed for storage.

They took a closer look at muffin and cupcake trays, developing a patented layered construction which supported paper cups during baking and gave a uniform muffin shape for easy removal without breakage.

The Traybon range eliminated the need for re-packaging goods, because cakes and muffins are baked, cooled, transported and sold in the same tray. The bakers were very happy because they now had a simpler production process and significant cost savings.

Throw away the tins, the silicone liners, and the washing up gloves. Traybon is here to stay!

Traybon saw how large bakeries had problems purchasing and storing expensive metal baking pans. Double handling, product damage, washing of baking trays and other cost-adding processes were unavoidable, and eating into bakery profits.

Kent Paper Keeps Quietly Innovating

Ken Bennett established Kent Paper in his Cammeray garage back in 1956. He started simply, supplying local customers with paper bags and greaseproof paper from the back of his van.

Kent Paper is still a family-run wholesale business, operating from Balgowlah on Sydney's Northern Beaches. In Ken's spirit of innovation, we continue to find new food packaging supplies that can make your life easier and your business more profitable. We always try to buy Australian, but if we can't find it here we'll source products from the USA and Asia.
